Korean Lash Lift vs. Traditional Lash Lift
Both lift your natural lashes with a curl that lasts weeks. The technique behind them is where they really diverge.
Same idea, different shield
Every lash lift works the same basic way: lashes are set onto a curved silicone shield, treated with a lifting solution, then a setting solution, so they hold that curl as they grow out. The shield's shape and size, and how long each solution sits, are what actually determine the result.
A traditional lash lift typically uses a larger, more sharply curved shield built for a strong, dramatic curl. The Korean technique favors a rounder, often smaller shield with gentler solution timing, aimed at a softer, more natural root-lift instead.

Who tends to prefer which
Clients with hooded eyes, downturned eyes, or shorter lashes often find the Korean method more flattering, a tight traditional curl can sometimes point lashes back toward the lid on those shapes instead of opening the eye. Clients with longer, straighter lashes who want the most dramatic possible curl sometimes prefer the traditional shield.
